The eastern most part of the Canadian Rockies in the Hinton, Cadomin and Wilmore Wilderness areas consist of trails that meander through forested areas and clear cuts with wonderful views of the mountains.

Trails range from hard packed to moderate powder suitable for novice to intermediate riders. This area is 30 to 40 minutes from Jasper along Highway 16 east and may provide opportunities for wildlife sightings as well.

Join us for this adventure through forested areas and along frozen lakes and rivers. Imagine yourself here 100 years ago on snowshoes as we pass by an old trapper’s cabin. Don’t let the fire go out!

Some areas here on the slopes have been logged but already you can see new trees quickly reaching up to the sun. Animals thrive on pockets like this for new undergrowth shoots which they will eat. Always watch for moose, deer and elk!

Keep your eye to the west for spectacular views of the front ranges of the Canadian Rockies.
